The LIMEX Philosophy:

The installation of LIMEX MIDI components should not compromise
in any way the acoustic or mechanical characteristics
of the instrument.

The system should provide all of the flexibility one would normally
expect to find in any MIDI compatible device.

And lastly, that the system should be extremely
playable and extemely portable.
Welcome to the leading custom outfitter of music electronics for accordions and diatonic harmonicas. Whether it's MIDI for bass or a complete MIDI system with a MIDI player, style arranger and integrated microphone system, LIMEX is the first choice for professional and amateur musicians. Add to that our digital MIDI and audio wireless system, sound boards and battery speaker, and you have a complete, coordinated package from one source.
LIMEX brings the latest MIDI technology to traditional instruments.  Whether you are an ambitious amateur or a world-class player, the award-winning MPR3 MIDI System for accordions by LIMEX will increase your success!
Using sensors and high-tech electronics, the components of the LIMEX MIDI MPR3 can be installed in a very compact space,  which allows us to integrate the electronics into accordions without changing the look of the instrument.  The instrument's natural sound remains unaltered due to the small size of the components.
To achieve these goals, the LIMEX MIDI system is configured as
      follows:

 1) LIMEX utilizes hall-effect magnetic sensors for triggering.
There is no contact between the accordions moving parts and
the sensor, so nothing gets dirty, worn out, or damaged from
normal playing.  Also, the sensor design allows for the
implementation of features such as velocity sensitivity and
electronic self-correction. (If the sensor alignment is
compromised in some way by outside forces, causing a note to
stop playing or to play continously, the problem can often be
rectified by a couple of strategic button-presses. No need to
open the instrument in most instances.)

 2) The heart of the system (or CPU) is modular and upgradable.  The current CPU is the MIDI
     PRO III.

 3) The on-board software that controls the system is also upgradeable. In practice, as new features
are developed and implemented, a simple (and free) download from the LIMEXMUSIC
website installs these new features immediately.  For the record, there have been approximately
six significant software upgrades in the past four years.

 4) Access to ALL of the LIMEX MIDI systems editable parameters is done through a grill-
     mounted control strip.

 5) An LCD display is available (normally mounted at the top of the accordion near the players chin)
which graphically displays what state the instrument is in at any given moment.

 6) A 32Mb sound card *The ALPINMASTER* can be installed inside the accordion and eliminates
the need for any sort of external sound generating device. The ALPINMASTER currently features
over 300 individual sounds, plus drum sounds, and special effects for the optional microphone
     system.

 7) The optional microphone system consists of ten treble mics/three bass mics/and may also include an
instrument-mounted gooseneck mic for vocals. Volume AND tone for all mics are adjustable using
     the grill-mounted control strip.

 8) The system described above is complete.  Bring an amplifier, plug it in and go. No other external
     devices are required.

 9) The entire installation adds approximately 13 ounces to the weight of the instrument.
