Welcome to Accordionicity. My name is John Leeman and I have serviced accordions at the Accordion Connection in Gilmanton, NH since 2003. In addition, I have been the Factory Authorized Service Representative for Limex MIDI Systems.
Recent events have made it possible for me to open my own repair facility, and to enhance and expand my relationship with Limex by becoming their Official U.S. Distributor, and to continue to offer Limex MIDI Systems for accordions.
I have played the accordion since birth (okay - I started when I was 5). I also play piano, organ, guitar and bass, and have been performing professionally for over 40 years. In addition, I have extensive recording experience on both sides of the glass - as a player and as an engineer.
I have serviced hundreds of accordions for musicians at all levels of expertise, and bring what I believe is a unique array of skills and experiences to the workbench, so to speak. Being a player myself gives me additional insight into the idiosyncrasies of these complex musical instruments, and also allows me to grasp and completely comprehend each player's specific needs.
MIDI is a unique experience for most accordionists. Used wisely it can open new vistas for creativity and performance. Used foolishly, it can blow your legs off. To properly install a MIDI system is only a small part of the equation. To properly train and support the new user is what separates Accordionicity from the rest.
If you think MIDI is the next step for you, I would welcome the opportunity to answer your questions and counsel you as to the best course of action.
If your accordion is sick and needs professional attention, I would be proud to serve you.
My goal is a simple one: satisifed customers.
